Guild & Spence Solar is a division of Guild & Spence Electrical Ltd, specialising in residential and small commercial solar electricity installations across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato with a specific focus on the residential new house build industry.
We provide bespoke systems designed to align with your household consumption patterns. With consistently increasing power prices and solar costs having reduced significantly, now is the time to install a solar electricity system and start saving on your power bills.
For anything solar, we’re here to assist!
Solar PV panels mounted on your roof or near your house capture energy from the sun and convert this energy into DC electricity.
A Solar Inverter converts this DC electricity into 230V AC electricity for use in your home.
The main switchboard takes electricity from the solar inverter and sends this electricity to power your home. If excess solar electricity is produced this is exported to the national grid and most electricity retailers will credit you for this. If not enough solar electricity is being produced, then it will be imported from the grid, like at night. Solar Electricity Systems are particularly beneficial to residential homes running items such as swimming and spa pools with electric pumps, air conditioning units, underfloor heating, electric hot water cylinders, deep freezers, water pumps or large irrigation systems. All of these can be set to operate during the daytime when your solar system will be producing electricity.
